Home Remedies for Pneumonia

  1. Keep the patient in a healthy, clean, hot (sunshine should enter the patient's room) ambience.
  2. No heavy, fried meals, but light, healthy, clean and purified food should be had.
  3. The feet and chest should be kept warmer than the other parts of the body.
  4. Constipation should be relieved.
  5. If there is chest pain, give one teaspoonful garlic juice to an adult patient.
  6. Boil one clove in 125 gms of water for five minutes, cool and drink it. It cures pneumonia.
  7. For children, boil five leaves of holy basil and one clove in milk and make the child drink it.
  8. For chest pain, boil one teaspoonful of Sprague in 250 gms of water. When one­fourth the water is left, sieve and drink it hot at night. Cover the entire body with a sheet. Drink twice a day for 5-7 days to cure chest pain.
  9. Holy basil described above is very useful in cases of pneumonia.
