Home Remedies for Fungal Infections
- The fungus produces a red scaling patch that itches. It may infect other parts of the body. It is more commonly seen in the rainy season.
- A fungal infection of the scalp causes a moth-eaten appearance of multiple bald spots. Trimming the hair helps clean the scalp. Application of mashed garlic and onion juice cures the patch and helps hair re-grow.
- Fungal infection is common in overweight people where moist warmth in the skin folds encourages fungi. Obesity is the root cause of many problems. See Hints for Obese to make yourself fit.
- Anti-fungal powders should be applied to the area.
- Cleanliness is very important. Do not apply steroid creams on the affected area; it will become worse.
- Do not let sweat irritate the affected area as it aggravates itching.
