Home Remedies for Bronchitis
- Try to spit out sputum through your mouth after cough bouts. Intake of infacted mucous obstructs the air passage.
- Bronchitis is primarily due to various allergies of dust, smoke or any food item. It is necessary to find out the allergen to avoid it.
- Take extra precautions over diet, clothes, and other habits during sudden change of season, in very cold or snowy areas or in very hot and sunny areas.
- Avoid constipation as it aggravates bronchitis.
- Do not wake up at night especially during winters.
- Avoid being in dusty, moisture-laden, smelly and smoky areas.
- Do not overeat or have heavy meals, fried and spicy food. Instead take a nutritious diet in moderation.
- It is necessary to be tension free in all diseases, so too in bronchitis.
- Steam is very useful.
- Make a powder of dry ginger, black pepper and turmeric. Add four teaspoonful of each and mix in a glass bottle. Take half teaspoonful of the mixture with warm water twice a day.
- Boil 3-4 pieces of garlic in 250 gms of milk and drink at night.
- Boil 3-4 cloves in water, add 1-2 teaspoonful of honey and drink the mixture twice or thrice a day.
- Boil leaves of horseradish tree (sohanjana) in water and when half is left drink the mixture.
- Perform the asanas mentioned previously as required.
