Home Remedies for Amenorrhoea

Amenorrhoea is absence of menstruation. In normal conditions amenorrhoea is present before puberty, during pregnancy and during lactation. Sometimes under stressful conditions or weakness due to illness periods may be delayed. Anaemia and tuberculosis are some of the conditions when there is absence of menses. To prevent this have a nutritious diet, do regular exercises and avoid heavy or overwork.

  1. Regular use of raw papaya is useful for bringing menstruation back to normal.
  2. Soybean is a good source of protein and iron. But it should be given in limited amounts to females with low digestive power.
  3. Clean the flowers of banana, give them steam and have along with curd. This relieves many menstrual problems only if done regularly for a few days.
  4. Padhastasana, a yogic exercise, in case of delayed menstrual periods acts as a pill for the advent of menses.
